Forty-five seconds is a popular station length in circuit training: long enough to fatigue a muscle, short enough to keep form. This timer shows a large draining ring and sounds an alarm at zero so you know when to move to the next exercise. It also works for a 45 second rest between heavier sets.
Ways to use this timer
- Circuit training stations such as kettlebell swings or burpees
- Holding a deep squat or hip-flexor stretch
- Timed rest between strength sets
Questions
What is a 45/15 workout?
It is 45 seconds of work followed by 15 seconds of rest, repeated across stations. The interval timer can run that pattern automatically with cues between phases.
